The Book “Natallia Radzina’s Belarus” Will Be Presented In Wrocław

The meeting will take place on September 24.

A new book by renowned historian and journalist Yuri Felštinsky, titled “Natallia Radzina’s Belarus: A Journalist Against a Dictator,” will be presented in Wrocław, Poland.

The event, which will take place on September 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the office of “Supolki Belarusaŭ Uroclava” at Tadeusza Kościuszki 35A/51, the event will be attended by Natallia Radzina, editor-in-chief of the Charter97.org website; three-time Olympic medalist, world and European swimming champion Aleksandra Gerasimenya, and the coordinator of the “European Belarus” civic campaign Yevgeny Afnagel.

The new book by renowned historian and publicist Yuri Felshtinsky is a history of Belarus viewed through the lens of Natallia Radzina’s life—through the resistance of a journalist who found herself at the epicenter of political struggle and refused to submit to dictatorship. This is a story of courage, integrity, uncompromising resolve, and the price of freedom. Through the fate of a single journalist, we trace the fate of a people who never cease to fight for freedom.

Many well-known contemporaries also appear in the book— Stanislav Shushkevich, Dalia Grybauskaitė, Lech Wałęsa, Andrzej Wajda, Boris Nemtsov, Leonid Nevzlin, Hillary Clinton, and others.

This book will be of interest not only to historians, journalists, and political scientists, but also to anyone who wants to better understand Belarus and its modern history.
