A Minsk Resident Has Been Living Without Hot Water For Three Months Following Major Repairs

Utility workers found the real cause of the problem.

A Minsk resident complained to the Oktyabrsky District Administration that she had been living without hot water for three months following major repairs. As it turned out, water is actually being supplied to the apartment, and the problem arose after work that the homeowner had commissioned from private contractors, according to the state agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

A resident of building No. 15/2 on Chkalova Street reported that her apartment had been without hot water for three months following major repairs. She had previously raised this issue with officials, and representatives from the housing and utilities department went to investigate.

“It turned out then that hot water was connected to the apartment. The reason for the lack of hot water is that the resident privately hired workers who took her money but did not fully complete the job,” said Sergey Sborcev , deputy head of the Oktyabrsky District Administration .

According to the official, the woman had not signed any official contracts with the workers. She also does not want to file a police report.
