Gerasimov Announced A Ceasefire In The Kherson Sector

In connection with the humanitarian operation in Oleshky.

The Russian Armed Forces, in connection with humanitarian operation near Oleshky in the Kherson sector, are implementing a ceasefire from 4:00 a.m. Minsk time on October 27. This was announced by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces—First Deputy Minister of Defense, General of the Army of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov.

“In connection with the humanitarian operation in the area of the town of Oleshky in the Kherson region, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will cease fire in the Kherson sector and implement a ceasefire starting at 4:00 a.m. Moscow time on October 27, 2026,” — the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense quoted him as saying.

He added that, to ensure the safety of people and the delivery of socially essential cargo, engineering reconnaissance will be conducted and the safe passage of the humanitarian convoy will be ensured.
