A Russian Man Learned Belarusian In A Year And Wants To Visit “the Most Beautiful Country In The World”

He addressed the Belarusians in our native language.

A Russian man explained on the social media platform Threads why he fell in love with our country and wants to live here.

“I don’t know why, but every day when I see photos from Belarus that Belarusians post here on Threads, I really want to go to Belarus and maybe even live there,” he wrote in Belarusian. “Belarus is the most beautiful country in the world, in my opinion.
I’m Russian, though, and I know almost nothing about what it’s like to be Belarusian. I’ve only learned the language. But if I had the chance, I’d come to Belarus. I’d love to see this amazing country.

As noted by the website Charter97.org, Belarusians didn’t find any mistakes in the post and immediately asked how long it took the author to learn the language.
“To learn it—I’d say a year. But to speak fluently, I think 2–3 years,” he replied.
