Leader of the “For Freedom” movement Alyaksandr Milinkevich doesn’t think boycott of the “parliamentary election” is effective and believes the opposition should run in the “election”.
“Of course, we must run in the election. There’s no sense in lying on sofa. I have visited many towns, talked with many people, gathered many signatures, it is really important. We need to throw off apathy. We need to run in the “election” to show people we are alive, we haven’t died. In my view, the opposition should use the chance of speaking via state media, we should take and spend 800 dollars the state gives us. This “election” won’t legitimate due to our participating. I think boycott is not efficient. I am not a supporter of boycott,” Alyaksandr Milinkevich said.
