Yahor Khrustalyou, first deputy director of ONT TV channel and host of “Vybor” (Choice) talk show, unexpectedly quitted the channel.
Yahor Khrustalyou filed an application to retire in the morning April 20. He said he had a good offer from abroad, Salidarnast reports.
“I only know that Khrustalyou filed an application on voluntary leave, he said he had a very good foreign offer,” ONT spokeswoman Alina Pravarotava explained.
The application was signed and Yahor Khrustalyou doesn’t work for ONT channel anymore.
The TV journalist doesn’t answer his phone.
“Vybor” talk show with its author and permanent host Khrustalyou will be shown today. Viewers will see Syarhei Darafeeu as a host. He is known for programs “Serebranny Gramofon”, and “Nashe Utro” on ONT. Journalists of “Kamsamolskaya Pravda v Belarusi” phoned Syarhei Darafeeu. Some hours before the journalist learnt he would be a host of “Vybor”, so he refused to give any comments.
Yahor Khrustalyou has worked almost 20 years for the Belarusian TV, and was working for ONT from the day the channel started its work. The Charter’97 reminded that answering a question of “Savetskaya Belorussia” newspaper “Do you often have to choose?”, Khrustaloyu said:
– I have to make a choice every day (I mean the talk show). I always think what opinion I would choose. But in real life I have to choose more often, unfortunately, it’s not always with impunity...
