Independent journalists detained in Klyotsk

On April 19 in Klyotsk policemen detained two independent journalists. Their video cassettes and equipment were confiscated.
As Radio Racyja was informed by a human rights activist from Klyotsk Syarhei Panamarou, he and two journalists were detained by a Klyotsk policeman. They were released in three hours. However, expensive equipment and video cassettes with materials of shooting were seized. A copy of the confiscation report was not issued for them.
The three were taken to a police department. They were taken to different offices. An officer of Nyasvizh KGB arrived to the police department. The detained were not explained the reasons of detention, however the equipment and video cassettes were confiscated.
As said by Panamarou, he and journalists met with Alyaksandr Silvahska, a veteran of the Second World War, who is not allowed to go to Germany to meet with veterans of link-up on the Elbe.
