Since August 1 export duty for oil in Russia can reach $220-224 per ton as compared to $212.6 per ton since July 1.

It has been told to RIA Novosti by the deputy head of customs payments department of the Finance Ministry Alexander Sakovich basing upon monitoring of oil prices for Urals oil from June 15 to July 9 inclusively.

As said by him, the average oil price over this period (minus three trading days) was $66.64 per barrel.

“Considering the situation of July (oil prices are going down), one could suppose the price in the rest three days would be from 57 to 62 dollars per barrel. Then the final price would look like 65.3-66 dollars per barrel. In this case the duty would be within the interval of $220-224 per ton,” Sakovich said.

In connection with oil export duty growth in Russia, the price of oil delivered to Belarus is to grow too: in August it is to make about $79 per ton as compared to $75.7 per ton in July, AFN informs.

As we have informed, according to Belarusian-Russian agreements duty for oil for Belarus in 2008 is to be calculated with a coefficient 0.356 from the Russian duty.
