Internet gateway in Russia’s direction dropped

A signal of optical fiber cable breakdown was received at 8:45 a.m. January 26. The accident caused reducing of the external gateway by 10Gbit.
The repair works are being carried out, reasons for the breakdown are being founding out. The gateway in Russia’s direction has reduced from 20 to 10 Gbit/s.
The website Electroname.com reports about this with a reference to Beltelecom company.
We remind that Beltelecom’s connection speed with long-distance operators Rostelecom and Transtelecom amounts to 20Gbit/s, while that with TATA Communication in the western direction is only 2Gbit/s.
