Syamashka: Oil duties abolishing is our ferroconcrete requirement

The official Minsk connects creating of the Customs Union with abolition of all export duties for oil and oil products imposed by Russia for Belarus.

Interfax agency was told about that on Tuesday by First Deputy Premiere of Belarusian government Uladzimir Syamashka in the framework of the events of the 78th annual international conference of potash fertilizers manufacturers in Paris.

"Singing the Customs Code must be bound with abolishing of export duties for oil and oil products. Abolition of export duties for oil and oil products for Belarus is our ferroconcrete requirement," Syamashka said.

Belarus insists on synchronization with Russia's transition to equal prices, Syamashka said.

"We see that Russia is not approaching equal prices, their economy cannot allow that. If we are not nearing equal prices, then a course to approaching them by 2015 is forming," Syamashka said.

He also informed that Belarusian government hold talks with several potential investors about possible sale of minority stake in Belaruskali.

"Talks with several potential investors are held, a possibility of selling minority stake is discussed," Syamashka said.

We remind that Russia and Kazakhstan plan to launch the Customs Code of the Customs Union on July 1 at bilateral basis. It was stated by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who on May 28 in St. Petersburg met with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Masimov. Syarhei Sidorski, the head of the Belarusian government, did not arrive to the talks.
