The scandalous movie has a high rating.

According to TNS Russia Research Company, the most popular TV project in Moscow from a period from June 28 to July 4 was the programme “Bolshaya Raznitsa” (Big Difference) with a rating of 31%.

The most popular project in other cities of the country became the scandalous film about Alyaksandr Lukashenka with a speaking title “Godbatka”. As Arina Borodina, an observer of Kommersant publishing house, writes on echo.msk.ru, almost 25% of the Russian TV audience watched the film on NTV.

The observer called the movie “the most popular TV project”:

“The film was aired by NTV at prime time on Sunday as a special episode of the programme “Chrezvychainye Proisshestviya. Rasseldovania” (Accidents. Investigations). The film wasn’t announced in the progamme, but a decision to show it was right. Formally, NTV is an independent channel, so the Russian authorities seem not to have relation to the video. The time the film was shown, about 9 pm, was chosen in order as many viewers as possible learn about the cunning Batka (Lukashenka), who has suddenly turned from Russia’s friend into its iron-hearted enemy. Moreover, those who ordered the film on NTV look like they have suddenly opened their eyes to the personality of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his policy. They are brave enough to go further and compare the Belarusian president and Hitler.

In Belarus, the film could be watched only by Internet users and satellite TV subscribers, as the authorities banned showing the film on cable television.
