Yury Khashchavatski: “Soon honest officials will sigh with relief”

The today’s regime is only able to organize dirty tongue-lashings to establishment’s officials.

It has been stated in an interview to charter97.org website by a well-known Belarusian filmmaker Yury Khashchavatski, who has decided to become a member of the initiative group of the potential presidential candidate of Belarus Andrei Sannikov.

- Andrei has a colossal experience of work in the state proper, as he is one of those who had created the sovereign, independent and nuclear-free Belarus. Thanks to his work Belarus managed to gain international renown, we became reckoned with in the world. Later Lukashenka’s Belarus wasted all this reputation created then.

Sannikov is a man adhering to principles: he left the government on his own initiative, and was not turning it into some kind of a scandal. He understood earlier than many others that this regime goes the wrong route. In everything he did one could see care for the state, not for his own pocket, not for his career, but for the state. This person understands the meaning of good relations with Russia and the importance of the European direction.

Besides, Sannikov is from a good dynasty, as his father was a theatre enthusiast, who worked for the good of the Belarusian theatre, and his roots are in culture, in the artistic, cultural layer of the Belarusian background.

He is my friend. I know him well. He is a person who can value people. All those honest officials from the political establishment, who are parts of the system today, have nothing to fear, on the contrary, they will breathe a sigh of relief when Sannikov becomes a president. And those dirty, mean tongue-lashings held by the today’s boorish collective farm regime, will be buried in a green coffin with a red cover.

I know Andrei also as a man who won’t give up. And I also know that he will find a common language with such wonderful people like Nyaklyaeu, Ramanchuk and Kazulin, and they will work in one team, which will bring Belarus to a dignified life. Andrei has a professional skill to unite everyone, — Khashchavatski noted.
