Kirkevich’s mother seeks to change measure of restraint for her son

The mother of Ales Kirkevich, arrested and thrown in the KGB jail, seeks a measure of restraint to be changed for her son.

Larysa Kirkevich, the mother of Young Front leader from Hrodna Ales Kirkevich, tries to convince the KGB her son had faced problems with his heart in the jail and this can be a ground to change a form of pretrial restraint.

Earlier, Ales Kirkevich asked her in a letter to send him medicines for the heart.

Ales Kirkevich’s lawyer filed documents to change a measure of restraint. Larysa Kirkevich tried to pass him extracts from medical records and visited the jail to give them, but doesn’t know if Ales has received the documents. The KGB demands to provide the documents again. According to the investigator, the copies of the medical records were unreadable.

The lawyer has not seen her client since February 3, when charges were brought against Ales Kirkevich.
