Action in Vilnius to support Belarusians (Photo)

On January 16, the day of solidarity, a picket to support Belarusian political prisoners was held in Vilnius.

The action was organized by the Civil and Political Representation of Belarus in Lithuania (HUB) and activists of European Belarus civil campaign, HUB press service reports.

The activists reminded Vilnius dwellers about the ongoing crackdown on the civil society in Belarus. 14 people, among them Belarusian presidential candidates Andrei Sannikov and Mikalai Statkevich and famous human rights activist Ales Byalyatski, remain behind bars.
