Farmahei leaves the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The general has tendered resignation for health reasons.

According to “Narodnaya Volya”, Farmahei was relieved of his post of the police chief at the Minsk city executive committee and transferred under the command of the interior minister. The Belarusian TV said the resignation was caused by the metro bombing attack. After a while, the general found a new job in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs says the deputy head for general service Leanid Farmahei is on vacation until the middle or the end of February.

Farmahei was suddenly taken to hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the end of last year.
