Journalist Tatsyana Bublikava detained

(updated) The girl was taken to the Pershamaiski district police department of Minsk.

The independent journalist was detained at a trial allegedly for insulting the court, “Nasha Niva” newspaper reports.

She was collecting information about the law suit of a Homel dweller against the Belarusian Television and Radio Company. One of the state-run TV channels showed the plaintiff and his family members as if they were involved in human trafficking.

The journalist had to spend three hours in the police department and was then released. No reports were drawn up against her.
