EU Ambassadors can return soon

The ambassadors of the EU recalled from Belarus can return in the nearest time.

It is reported by France-Presse agency with a reference to diplomatic circles of the EU.

Such an opinion is reported to be expressed by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU Catherine Ashton, who believes that ambassadors would be able to return even before the beginning of the summit of the EU countries’ foreign ministers, which is to be held in Brussels on March 22-23.

We remind that ambassadors of the EU countries were recalled as a sign of solidarity. On February 28 Belarusian authorities issued a demand for Polish Ambassador Leczek Szerepka and the head of the EU mission to Belarus Maira Mora to leave the country for consultations. It was a response of the dictatorship to extending of visa and economic sanctions of the EU against Belarus.

The main demand of the EU remains release and acquittal of all Belarusian political prisoners.
