Štefan Füle and Andrei Sannikov had a talk

The European Commissioner on Enlargement and European Neighbourhood welcomed the released Belarusian presidential candidate, Andrei Sannikov.

“The Commissioner congratulated me on the release and confirmed the EU intended to seek the release of all political prisoners. The Commissioner, who is in Warsaw now, talked about the importance of EU's new initiative 'Dialogue on Modernization', which is aimed at discussing the future of Belarus. I asked Štefan Füle to express my gratitude to the EU leaders and personally Baroness Catherine Ashton for their efforts to release political prisoners,” Andrei Sannikov told charter97.org.
