Pavel Seviarynets: Let's Support Leanid Kulakou!

The defenders of Kurapaty are in solidarity with the courageous actions of the European Belarus activist.

Co-chairman of the organizing committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, Pavel Seviarynets, one of the defenders of Kurapaty, wrote on Facebook:

– From the first days of the protest campaign under the walls of the Let’s Go Get Some Eats! restaurant at the Kuropaty memorial, the police, instead of ensuring the safety of citizens, has been showing indulgence towards the illegal actions of restaurant employees and their guests, creating additional danger for protest participants.

On June 27, such provocative actions ended in a run over European Belarus civil campaign activist Leanid Kulakou. As a result of the incident, he got a closed fracture of his left hand, and his leg was hurt.

The defenders of the Kurapaty memorial express their solidarity with Leanid Kulakou’s courageous and self-sacrificing actions and urge the Interior Ministry officials to get engaged in their direct duties: to stop provocations against the protesters.
