Miachyslau Hryb: Belarus will soon come to a democratic system of government

No power is eternal - neither authoritarian nor dictatorial.

Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the 12th convocation Miachyslau Hryb said in an interview with BelGazeta that no authority is eternal.

- It is impossible to hold back the general tendencies of development in the world even in the country with an authoritarian regime: the sprouts of the new will still make their way through the asphalt of authoritarianism, although very, very slowly.

Now the whole world is changing for the better, I think, and Belarus is no exception. But it is very, very difficult to change here, with numerous obstacles, and these changes cost the people too much. The authoritarian regime established in Belarus, manual management of the country, economy, absence of economic reforms, lack of freedoms, too insignificant participation of the public and political parties in the life of the state prevent us from moving forward. But no authority is eternal - neither authoritarian nor dictatorial. Belarus will come to democracy, and it will happen soon enough.
