The famous Homel human rights defender opposes the regime.
Homel human rights defender Leanid Sudalenka doubts that the reason for a series of searches in Homel, which took place on January 5, is the criminal case against activist Uladzimir Niapomniashchykh. The digital carriers, documents and bank cards were seized from the human rights activist, Radio Racyja reports.
Despite the prosecution, Leanid Sudalenka is not going to cease his human rights activities:
- I have been engaged in human rights defense for 20 years. It has become the meaning of my life, I can't see anything else for myself. Perhaps I will get close to human rights activities and get a lawyer's license when the power changes. I do not need any positions. I am a musician and play for myself. I come to work on Saturday and Sunday, as if it were a holiday. I live for work. As long as I am free, I will not give up my human rights work.
