AFU Smashing Russian Troops Near Svatove And Kherson: New Battle Maps

The offensive may end in a wholesale flight of the occupiers.

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue an active offensive and liberate settlements in the north of the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are trying to advance near Svatove.

RBC-Ukraine reported about it with reference to map data of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Deepstatemap battle maps.

Oskil River-Kreminna Line

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attack the eastern part of the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian troops entered Bohuslavka and Borivska Andriivka, both within 30km west of Svatove and near the border between Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.

Russian forces still control the R66 (Svatove-Kreminna). It is a vital throughway, so the occupiers are trying to hold this section of the front.

Analysts believe that Russia will send the First Guards Tank Army and units of the 144th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army, previously located in the Kharkiv region, to defend Svatove.

According to the Ukrainian map, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive not only near Svatove, but also near the Lyman, gradually moving towards the Kreminna and Luhansk region.

Donbas

According to the analysts ISW, the occupiers attempt to expand Russian control over the Donetsk City Airport. Therefore Russian forces are fighting in the Avdiivka area near Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

At the same time, Wagner PMC militants were transferred to Bakhmut in order to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the Russian forces had no success for several months in this area.

According to ISW, Russian sources expressed continued concern that Ukrainian forces may launch a counterattack on the eastern Donetsk region and western Zaporizhzhia region front line in the coming days.

Kherson region

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have achieved significant success in the north of the Kherson region. Ukrainian defenders liberated a number of settlements and captured at least half of Dudchany. This settlement in the north-east of the Kherson region is important because it lies along the T0403 highway. It runs along the west bank of the Dnipro River into the Beryslav-Nova Kahkovka area.

Analysts say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Inhulets River and on the right bank of the Kakhovka reservoir. This actually will make it possible to push aside the Russian troops and will force them to run to the south in the direction of Kherson and Nova Kakhovka.

The Ukrainian battle map confirms that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving towards the settlement of Dudchany, but fighting is still going on near it. There are no official reports on its liberation yet.
