The IDF's official statement.
The Israel Defenсe Forces (IDF) said Israel did not strike the hospital in Gaza. According to intelligence information, a failed Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket caused the deadly blast at the Gaza hospital.
IDF Speaker Daniel Hagari made a statement, according to The Times of Israel. He noted that "an analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the Al Ahli hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit."
“Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza,” the IDF Speaker said.
He added that terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip are firing indiscriminately at Israel.
“Since the start of the war, approximately 450 rockets fired towards Israel have landed in Gaza, endangering and harming the lives of Gazans,” an IDF spokesman said.

Recall that on Tuesday evening, October 17, a rocket hit the Gaza Al Ahli Hospital, killing hundreds of people. Hamas blamed the Israeli army for the tragedy and called on Muslims to protest worldwide. Based on the results of its investigation, Israel stated that the Islamist terrorist organization Islamic Jihad was responsible for the attack on the hospital.
At the same time, mass protests began in Arab countries after the hospital blast. Hamas supporters set fire to the Israeli embassy in Jordan and tried to storm it after the attack on a hospital in Gaza.
Protests after the attack on a hospital in Gaza also began in Tunisia, Turkey, Syria, Iran and Lebanon.
The EU, World Health Organization, The Arab League, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the Gaza hospital bombings.
