Defenсe Minister Yoav Gallant: Hezbollah Joined The Fight Against Israel

The IDF launched powerful strikes against terrorist targets in Lebanon.

“Hezbollah has decided to participate in the fighting, we are exacting a heavy price from it,” Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said at the 91st territorial division base at the Biranit camp on the Lebanon border.

“I assume that the challenges will become greater [than they are now], and you have to take this into account, to be ready, like a spring, for any situation,” he adds to the forces.

Over the past two weeks, more than 13 Hezbollah members have been killed in Israeli retaliatory strikes in southern Lebanon, the newspaper writes.

The IDF reported strikes on "two terrorist cells near the Lebanese border" in response to attacks in northern Israel.

A video of attacks on Hezbollah targets has been published, including several “observation points” of the Lebanese group. IDF speaker Daniel Hagari reported that on October 21, a rocket was fired at an Israeli aircraft near the border with Lebanon.

“Air defence troops intercepted the missile, and the aircraft successfully completed its mission. He was not injured. In response, an IDF aircraft attacked a military system used for surface-to-air missile hits against a helicopter,” Hagari said.

“A terrorist squad was recently identified when attempting to launch anti-tank missiles against Israeli territory in the Avivim area on the Lebanese border. The IDF attacked the unit before the launch took place,” he said on October 22.
