AN 11-year-old girl was sent for a check without her parents in Minsk.

Life has reached the point where children cannot get to school on their own, writes Charter97.org reader Inna from Minsk.

“Last week my 11-year-old daughter experienced terrible stress. Before I had time to rejoice that she finally decided to go to school on her own, which was no less than half an hour by public transport, this incident happened! Milana was on her way from school to a course; when leaving the underground, a security officer approached her and asked her to go through a security check.

The daughter's first reaction was to run away, she tried to hide in the crowd. It seems, well, what do you, freak, want from a child? He caught her and forcefully took her to the scanner. My daughter called me, she was in a panic, she was crying and said that she was afraid to go through this check. I was in touch with her all the time. They looked at her pencil case, tablet and phone, and asked where she was going. After examining and finding nothing, they released her.

The only question is, what did they want to find in eleven-year-old child’s things? It’s for sure, they had no right to stop her. But everyone understands that now Belarusians have no rights, only obligations.

In the evening we sat and talked with her for a long time. I explained to her what to do and how to react, how to perceive this reality. Let's wait and see, maybe we'll have to see a psychologist, or maybe we'll get off with just fear.

I’m now sending a hellish curse to Lukashenka’s degenerates, so that they, their children and grandchildren will walk around looking around and afraid all their lives! I will again have to take my child to school and additional courses again after this situation.
