The Russians cannot supply weapons to their troops.
Partisans in temporarily occupied Melitopol carried out two “high-profile” operations. City Mayor Ivan Fedorov shared the details on December 20 on Channel 24.
The resistance forces managed to organize an “explosive surprise” for one of the “touring collaborators.” He came to the city captured by the Russian Armed Forces to work in the occupation police.
“He was not the target. Another traitor was targeted, but this one suffered. This is good. There are a little fewer of them who will come. They will understand how their visits will end,” Fedorov said.
Also last week, partisans staged an explosion on the railway. They managed to hit a diesel locomotive and several carriages.
According to the mayor of Melitopol, the most important thing is that the branch itself was damaged. This operation hit enemy logistics. The Russian occupiers will not be able to supply weapons, as well as stolen grain and ore, via this railway for some time.
Russia is building a new railway
As Fedorov explained, there is already a branch line on the territory of Ukraine that connects Donetsk with the Crimea. However, it passes close to the front line in the Zaporizhzhia region — near Tokmak and Volnovakha.
“The enemy understands that they cannot use it, because there is a risk of damage to the cargo. Therefore, they are trying to build a new railway line, which will be near the Azov coast,” explained the mayor of Melitopol.
He expressed hope that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would not allow the enemy to build a new railway.
Back on December 15, an explosion occurred in temporarily occupied Melitopol. The partisans blew up a train that delivered ammunition and fuel daily from the Crimea.
