Israeli Army Traps, Eliminates Dozens Of Militants In Gaza

Journalists revealed details of the daring operation.

The IDF said that the Israeli army managed to ambush and destroy dozens of Hamas terrorists at once. The described events took place in the south of Gaza City, writes Bild.

First, the Israeli military opened fire at the militants so that they were forced to retreat to the command centre. After that, when the terrorists hid in the building, Israeli fighter jets bombed the Hamas headquarters - it is claimed that dozens of members of the terrorist group were killed.

The Times of Israel writes that Israel controls Gaza City in the north, fighting with militant groups continues in other parts. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant said that the IDF is "gradually achieving" its goals in Gaza. Meanwhile, the main objective for the Israeli army is to reach Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Unconfirmed reports say he fled out of Gaza a few weeks ago.

The Israeli army says more than 700 terrorists have been captured by the IDF since hostilities began, 200 of whom surrendered in the past week.

The Israel Defence Forces regularly find weapons caches in the Gaza Strip: last week they found mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and explosives in a kindergarten building. In another cache, the military found explosive belts adapted for children.
