Lukashenka Calls Nuclear Weapons Received From Putin His Own, Threatens To Strike At Poland

The dictator said that he would manage the nuclear weapons.

Poland is allegedly preparing an attack on Belarus, and Minsk intends to defend itself with all available means, including nuclear weapons received from Russia. This was stated by the usurper Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

According to Lukashenka, tactical nuclear missiles, which, according to the decision of President Vladimir Putin, will be placed in Belarus before July 1, are considered “their own” in Minsk.

“And there is no need to say, like, they will only keep it here, this is not our weapon. This is our weapon that will promote sovereignty and independence,” Lukashenka said (quotes from Interfax).

He added that a week ago he gave an order to restore sites where missiles with nuclear warheads were placed, and after tactical nuclear weapons, if necessary, Belarus can also receive strategic ones. “We will stop at nothing to defend our countries, our peoples,” Lukashenka said.

The target of nuclear missiles, which, according to Putin, are not transferred to Belarus, but only placed on its territory, according to Lukashenka, could be Poland.

“They are preparing to invade the territory of Belarus to destroy our country. They are making militants, or rather bandits, out of our escapists,” he said.

According to Lukashenka, Belarus is forced to “return” nuclear weapons to its territory due to the fact that the guarantees given for their withdrawal in the 1990s were “trampled” and “violated”.

“I am not trying to intimidate or blackmail anyone,” Lukashenka said, adding that a third world war with “nuclear fires” loomed on the horizon, and negotiations on the situation in Ukraine “without preconditions” are needed to prevent it.

Lukashenka also said that Belarus would control tactical nuclear weapons. So he answered the question of how it is planned to manage the tactical nuclear arsenal, which is to be deployed in Belarus, and whether the country's opinion will be taken into account at the X moment.

“Nuclear weapons have not yet been placed in Belarus, and everyone is already howling. And why are you howling? Why didn’t the Americans howl when they introduced sanctions against. The late Makei (Minister of Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei — edit.) at the time, on my instructions, I told him — remind them that they violated the Budapest agreements. They were reminded. And they didn’t care! Why are you howling now? And then, we are not going to fight against America if we place these weapons,” Lukashenka said.

Answering the question of how it is planned to organize the management of the tactical nuclear arsenal, which is to be deployed in Belarus, and whether the country's opinion will be taken into account at the X moment, Lukashenka said that “everything will be according to the law”.

“Everything will be according to the law and according to the rules. There are no uncontrolled weapons in Belarus and cannot be. Therefore, we will manage everything that is in Belarus,” Lukashenka said.

Last week, Putin announced the construction of warehouses in Belarus for storing tactical nuclear weapons, as well as the conversion of 10 aircraft of the Belarusian Air Force for Iskander missiles. The declared range of the Iskanders is 500 km, but the United States believes that one of the missiles of the complex — 9M729 — is capable of flying much further and threatens Western European countries.
