New CEO Unexpectedly Appointed At Belmedpreparaty

The previous CEO lasted only a few months and “disappeared”.

Siarhei Kazakevich became the new CEO of RUE Belmedpreparaty. Minister of Health Dzmitry Pinevich introduced the head of the enterprise to the employees, the press service of the department reported. It is not reported where the previous CEO Volha Yakubitskaya, who was appointed in mid-September 2022, left.

Dzmitry Pinevich, introducing the new CEO, said that “the sanctions are forcing the country to look for ways to further develop, including improving pharmaceutical production”.

According to the Ministry of Health, Siarhei Kazakevich graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University with a degree in finance and credit, in 2011 — from the Academy of Administration under the aegis of Lukashenka with a degree in state and local government. Since 2000, he has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, in the civil service, and since 2019, he has been the General Director of RUE “Managing Company of the Belpharmprom Holding”.

When and where the previous CEO Volha Yakubitskaya left, it is not reported. When she was introduced to the team in September last year, Dzmitry Pinevich outlined some of the tasks the enterprise was facing. First of all, it was about the prompt solution of problems at the enterprise, the activation of work on the Russian market, which is promising for Belarusian manufacturers, the development of a line of new drugs to solve import substitution issues, as well as the introduction of new technologies.
