Natallia Radzina: Belarusian Volunteers Will Prevent Kremlin From Appointing Another ‘Lukashenka’

There will be weapons for the liberation of Belarus.

Editor-in-Chief of the website Charter97.org Natallia Radzina returned from Kyiv and spoke at the Belsat studio about meetings she had with Belarusian volunteers, Ukrainian politicians, and described possible scenarios for the liberation of Belarus.

At the beginning of the interview, Natallia Radzina shared her impressions of the trip to the Ukrainian capital:

— Kyiv has always been an energetically powerful city, and now, when it has been bombed for more than a year, you meet the strongest, most courageous people. In fact, the Ukrainians are not afraid of these attacks, although it is hard to experience them, not to sleep at night, the air raid can last for several hours. Once I was sitting in a bomb shelter from 12 am to 5 am, but in the morning when you wake up, Ukrainians are happy, love life and want to fight for their country. They understand that no one but them will do it.

The Editor-in-Chief of the website Charter97.org said that in Kyiv she met with politicians from the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, the military from the Ministry of Defense, as well as Belarusian volunteers from the Kastus Kalinouski regiment, the leadership of the Terror battalion, and the Belarusians from the Second International Legion.

Natallia Radzina shared the details of the meeting with Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine:

— We talked about the European perspectives of Belarus. Mykhailo Podolyak agreed that the future of our country is in the EU and NATO. He is sure that Russia is about to collapse, and during this period it will have its own business to mind, no time for Belarus. Our country has every chance to follow the European path together with Ukraine.

The Editor-in-Chief of the website Charter97.org noted that now in Ukraine they are talking a lot about what will happen when Lukashenka dies:

— We buried him many times, but it seems to me that this can finally happen. The world has understood this, and they say: “What to do?” Interesting proposals and even strategies are voiced. For example, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, said that Belarusian volunteers would enter Belarus, they would be supported by NATO countries and 90% of the Belarusian people.

Today, there are already discussions about this, including in Ukrainian society, among the military, experts, and I even heard about it from deputies.

There are a lot of Belarusian volunteers, I looked into these guys’ eyes. They gave me faith. Through the press service and the media, we see only 0.01% of what is actually happening there. There are a lot of real fighters among the Belarusian volunteers, people who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of our country. When they die today for Ukraine near Bakhmut, they die with the dream of a free Belarus.

Who will give weapons to the Belarusian volunteers? Natallia Radzina believes that this will not be a problem:

There are weapons, at a certain time they will be found. You don't have to worry about it. I know for sure. There will always be people who will help Belarusians liberate their country. We have the same right to defend our country with lethal force, just like the Ukrainians. After all, today Belarus can lose its independence. It doesn't matter if Lukashenka dies or lives. We see that the country is losing sovereignty, political prisoners are being killed, and now nuclear weapons are being delivered.

There is information from the Belarusian military that the old Soviet bomb storage facilities are already being prepared, including in the Brest region. There are storage facilities for nuclear missiles on the border with Ukraine and Poland. They are preparing them. We need to think and react.

Of course, we need to talk about sanctions, but they are not enough. If there are nuclear missiles, then this is a threat to the entire region. Not only for Ukraine, but also for Poland, Lithuania, Latvia. The head of the General Staff of the Czech Republic already says that NATO is preparing for a war with Russia, this indicates that an international peacekeeping contingent may enter Belarus. Belarusian volunteers can also enter. There is a war, there can be completely different scenarios.

The Editor-in-Chief of the website Charter97.org is convinced that we, Belarusians, must get out of the “victim position”. Do not think that supposedly everything in our situation depends on the “great powers”:

— When Lukashenka dies, the Kremlin will put another one there, and will we just watch it happen? No. Belarusian volunteers will not wait.

According to the Belarusian journalist, all democratic forces, if they really are democratic, should talk about this scenario:

— Today, the opposition must do everything to strengthen the Belarusian units, the Kalinouski regiment and other volunteers, to help them get everything they need. They must lobby their interests in all Western structures. To say that Belarus needs to be liberated by military means. If the Polish generals are talking about it, then why is the Belarusian opposition afraid to talk about it?

If there is only one goal — the liberation of Belarus, then you forget about your ambitions, sit down at the table and talk. If your goal is to manage, so that there are toadies around you, then, of course, it’s hard to sit down at the negotiating table. Natallia Radzina believes that Tsikhanouskaya's office is not a political center today:

— In Ukraine, they believe that they are political zeros, and do not want to meet with them. We do not see Tsikhanouskaya's visits to Kyiv. Why?

— In Ukraine, they are ready to talk with Belarusian volunteers, and today the Kalinouski Regiment has been named a partner by the Ukrainian authorities. They offer concrete things, sacrifice their lives for Ukraine. Today, the Ukrainian authorities see the prospect in the Kalinouski Regiment and other Belarusian volunteers.
