Unexpected developments are possible in Belarus.
The self-proclaimed ruler of Belarus, Aliaksandr Lukashenka, may be involved in the actions of the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin during the coup attempt in Russia.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov expressed this opinion, according to RBC-Ukraine.
This is how he commented on the situation in the Russian Federation, where the Wagner group leader and his mercenaries organized a campaign against Moscow. They took Rostov and Voronezh under control but subsequently refused to move further after a conversation with Lukashenka.
Danilov called the Belarusian dictator a "man of no principles".
Lukashenka can do unexpected things in the future, according to him.
“I do not rule out that he can lead the same rebellion and help the Wagnerites... Not everything is so simple in Belarus,” Danilov said.
We also add that before that, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council noted that Prigozhin definitely has accomplices in the Kremlin, and the leader of the Wagnerites does not independently decide on a coup in the Russian Federation.
Earlier, in an interview with Charter97.org, Dzmitry Bandarenka the coordinator of the European Belarus Civil Campaign said that Lukashenka was participating in a conspiracy against Putin on the side of Prigozhin.
