AFU 'Behead' Regiment, Break Russian Army's Defence Line

AFU 'Behead' Regiment, Break Russian Army's Defence Line

The Ukrainian army carried out a unique operation on the Zaporizhzhia front.

The Ukrainian armed forces "beheaded" a regiment of the Russian army in Zaporizhzhia Region, and a couple of days later went on the assault and knocked out the occupants from their positions, breaking through the front line, reports dialog.ua.

The Spy Dossier TG channel shared details of storming the advanced positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the village of Rabotine, in Zaporizhzhia Region, the planning and implementation of which may be studied in military higher education institutions in the future.

During the night of June 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an assault on the Russian Armed Forces' positions in the direction of the village of Rabotine.

The initial strike was launched into the junction positions of two units of the RF Armed Forces, which demonstrates the thoughtful planning of combat operations and the work of reconnaissance.

"The main blow had to be taken by the 291st Motorized Rifle Regiment (military unit 65384, Chechen Republic), whose positions were directly in front of the village of Rabotine. At that, there was a certain chaos and even confusion in how the regiment's defense was organized. Here it is worth mentioning that today the 291st regiment is one of the best prepared units, which has been 'in the front line' for many months, and that means that they are well accustomed to combat operations," said the author of the channel.

Despite the image of the occupants, the Ukrainian armed forces pushed through the regiment's defence line by more than 400 metres on the first day of the assault. In another few days, the invaders would lose control of the territory more than 1km inland.

"To support the 291st motorized rifle regiment, the forces of the 810th Marine brigade (unit 13140, Sevastopol) would be sent in to help stabilize the situation in this section of the front. By now, the losses of the 291 MRR and 810 Marine brigade are as follows: 2C4 Tulpan - 1 unit, 2C5 Hyacinth-S - 1 unit, several KamAZ trucks for transportation of armor and personnel, as well as significant losses of personnel (estimated in hundreds of irretrievable and sanitary losses)," writes Spy Dossier.

However, the most piquant detail of this assault is that two days before the beginning of the assault of Rabotine, lieutenant colonel Oleg Kudryavtsev, commander of the 291st infantry division, died in a traffic accident under mysterious circumstances.

As it would later turn out, the cause of the accident was a fault in the braking system of the occupant's car. The lieutenant colonel's comrades-in-arms have no doubt that the accident was arranged by Ukrainian specialists.

As a result, the unit, left without a commander, failed in defending the occupied positions.

"Here we have an example of in-depth planning of an operation or a lucky coincidence for the AFU," summarised the TG channel.
