Roman Svitan: Belarusian Volunteers Perform Combat Tasks With Excellence

Ukrainians, Poles, Balts and Belarusians are of the same breed.

The Ukrainian military appreciate greatly the Belarusian volunteers. Colonel of the AFU reserve, flight instructor Roman Svitan said so to the Charter97.org website:

- I've been on the Maidan since '13, there were many Belarusians there, for example, Mikhail Zhyzneuski. We fought with Belarusians eight hundred years ago against the Horde, together with Belarusians, Balts and Poles - they are of the same breed. Personally, I have 1/32 part of Lithuanian blood. My great-grandmother is from Yaduty, it's on the border with Belarus.

We are one family, you could say so. And Belarusians fight very well. They are motivated and proficient. There are two parameters that distinguish not only fighters, but also any profession: motivation and proficiency. Belarusians are maximally motivated, they are against the Russian occupants. They understand very well that Belarus is occupied by the Russians, and Lukashenka is like the leader of the "DPR" Pushylin in the Donbass. Occupying power, it must be destroyed everywhere - in Ukraine, Belarus, in any part of the globe.

Proficiency - the guys are fighting very well. Their losses are not high, they fulfill their combat tasks very well. They are really smart. There are also a lot of people there who were already fighting before the full-scale war. Real specialists in certain areas.

That is why the Kalinouski regiment is a full-fledged combat unit, they just need to grow into a brigade, then they can carry out major tasks.

By the way, our big victories can contribute to the inflow of recruits to the Kalinouski regiment. We have many Belarusians living in Ukraine. I have already given you my example.

As soon as there is good dynamics at the Zaporizhzhia or any other front, these Belarusians will join the Kalinouski regiment. I can join the Kalinouski regiment too, as I have Lithuanian blood. You have one more candidate already. If anything, we'll help, don't be afraid.
