Leonid Nevzlin: Prigozhin Is In St. Petersburg

The Wagner boss continues to play his role in the mafia system of the Russian Federation.

As the Charter97.org website reported, late yesterday evening the business jet of the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin took off from the Minsk region and is heading towards Moscow.

Later, the Russian publication brief reported that both Russian aircraft of Prigozhin were now in St. Petersburg. One of them had previously flown to Moscow from Minsk for a couple of hours.

Israeli philanthropist Leonid Nevzlin confirmed the information about the stay of the leader of the Wagner PMC in St. Petersburg:

— Everyone who believes that Prigozhin lost Putin's support or was outplayed by some “Patrushevs”, “Shoigus”, “Gerasimovs”, cannot understand its “state” structure in any way.

It is absolutely clear to me that Putin and Prigozhin are inseparable, that Prigozhin is smarter, more cunning and understands the situation better than the “experts” try to portray. And Putin will get stronger if Prigozhin gets stronger. Therefore, everything that has been written and guessed so far, you can throw in the trash.

My opinion is that Prigozhin has not been in Belarus since yesterday. He is in St. Petersburg. Yesterday was his wife's birthday, which he surely celebrated with his family. Of course, the family was under stress, because there were searches and seizures. But everything will be returned to him, they will apologize to him and all the conditions that were agreed with him will be fulfilled. And if this does not happen within a certain period of time, if it turns out that Putin has not fulfilled the agreements, Prigozhin will remind him. He obviously knows how.

Now it is important for Putin and his entourage to support in public (for the population and even for an audience abroad) “state” institutions and law enforcement agencies. But in fact, the most important thing for him is to maintain the unity of his group, in which Prigozhin plays one of the most important roles. Putin today acknowledged that the Wagner PMC was financed by the state, and he spent 86 billion rubles on this only in the last year from May 2022 to May 2023. That is, even when Wagner was recognized in the West as a terrorist organization, Putin organized its financing.

All that happened was Prigozhin's reaction to the fact that he could get out of the situation with Wagner “smacked down”, or lose the PMC. And this, according to the laws of the mafia, is no better than death.

I am sure that now he is sitting in his office in St. Petersburg and continues to manage his businesses, including Wagner. And he is waiting for the fulfillment of the agreements by the beholder. Belarus, on the other hand, is needed to formally change the jurisdiction of Wagner and not sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense.

Those who built their “expertise” these days continue to proceed from the fact that Russia has a totalitarian regime, an autocracy or a military junta, or it is controlled by the FSB.

I repeat once again: Russia is a territory captured by a mafia group, the roles in which are assigned. Moreover, over the past twenty years, almost all members of the group have become irreplaceable, and their functions can only be inherited, given that there are worthy children or close relatives. Which is already happening.

One should proceed only from this when analyzing what is happening in Russia. Putin and Prigozhin are in this territory together. The one who enters the core of the mafia is not subject to persecution and punishment. Watch The Godfather every day. And think. Critical thinking has not yet been canceled.
