Svitan: Russian Army Prepares ‘Goodwill Gesture’ In Three Regions

The military expert told where the Armed Forces of Ukraine will knock out the Russians in the first place.

It’s really better for Russia’s occupying army to leave Bakhmut, Soledar and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, they will be destroyed otherwise. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will clean the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions from the occupiers. Military expert and reserve colonel Roman Svitan stated this.

He gave an interview with Glavred, he said that Russian troops could make new "goodwill gestures". According to the expert, it is the best option for the occupiers is to leave Bakhmut, Soledar and Velyka Novosilka under pressure from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, otherwise, they will be destroyed by the Ukrainian forces.

“The worst direction for Russia is a part of the Bakhmut-Soledar ledge. The enemy penetrated our defences six months ago, but could not advance further. By and large, now we are clearing them with flank strikes. It is really beneficial for the Russians to leave these locations from a military point of view: from Bakhmut, Soledar and Velyka Novosilka. Otherwise, we will simply destroy them. They know it very well,” Svitan said.

He also added that in the future, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will clear the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions from Russian invaders.

“And in a global sense, the retreat of Russian troops from the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions is possible. From a military point of view, the Russians can’t hold the possible Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Performance of the active operational combat task will allow to clear these two sectors from Russian troops. If the military way of thinking prevails among the Russian command, then they will leave on their own - they will try to build up defences in Crimea and Donbas," Roman Svitan said.
