Russian Military Base Blown Up Near Melitopol

It seems Russian air defence was "leaky".

The Russian occupiers felt new “bangs” in the village of Semenivka near Melitopol on the evening of July 1. An explosion was heard at a large enemy base, which the occupiers had set up on a captured farm.

Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov announced this on July 2 on the air of the national telethon. He noted that there were “bangs” at about 19:30.

“Yesterday, at about 19:30, one powerful explosion rocked Melitopol. All the city residents heard it. The explosion occurred in the north of our city, near the village of Semenivka, where the enemy captured a farm, and it was on this farm that one of the enemy’s military bases was located,” Fedorov said.

According to him, Melitopol residents were witnesses of the Russian “leaky” air defence yesterday.

“Today we do not have information, but unfortunately, usually after the work of enemy air defence, our civilian infrastructure and our civilians suffer, because the enemy’s air defence is located directly in residential areas, hiding behind our civilian infrastructure,” the mayor of Melitopol said.
