Emergencies Ministry’s Employee Arrested For 15 Days For Saving Link On Odnoklassniki

Dzmitry Rudak was also fired from his job.

Dzmitry Rudak, a rescuer from the Hlybokaye district, was sentenced to 15 days in jail for distributing “extremist” materials, and then fired from his job, Viasna Vitsebsk reports.

The man was tried on June 13. The judge gave him 15 days of arrest for keeping a post from an “extremist” Internet resource on his personal page in Odnoklassniki.

According to human rights activists, the “violation” was revealed by local police officers during preventive measures to counter “extremism”.

After the trial, the rescuer was fired, and “purges” and “informational conversations” were held in the team.

“It is also known about the dismissal of the inspector of supervision and prevention of the regional emergency department Aliaksei Paliak in Hlybokaye, about which the regional newspaper Vesnik Hłyboččyny wrote positive reviews not so long ago,” Viasna Vitsebsk reported.
