Media: One Of Russia’s Largest Black Sea Fleet Airfields Blown Up In Crimea

The Russians set up a large ammunition depot there.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Saturday morning, July 22, began with powerful explosions in the Krasnohvardiyske district. Russian media and local publics report explosions near the village of Oktyabrske, and the occupying authorities announced a “drone attack on infrastructure facilities,” obozrevatel.com reports.

It is in this area that one of the largest Russian air bases in the occupied Crimea is located, where, according to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard. This is written by local publics, as well as some journalists.

Explosions were observed in the area of the village of Oktyabrske, Krasnohvardiyske district in the Crimea, on the morning of July 22. Nearby, in the village of Novoivanivka, since the times of the USSR, there has been one of the largest air bases of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia. Now the Russians could place a large ammunition depot there.

Local residents claim that explosions were heard both at the airfield and at a nearby oil depot. They are clearly visible in the videos that began to appear on the internet.

Crimean Gauleiter Sergei Aksyonov announced a drone attack on “infrastructural facilities”, and his “advisor” Oleg Kryuchkov threw a tantrum due to the fact that people filmed the consequences of the “big bang”. He demands from the Crimeans not to film or publish the consequences of the strikes, and threatens them with security forces.

“Videos from infrastructure objects attacked by the enemy have again appeared on the internet. We ask everyone who knows the authors of these videos to report these people to the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the FSB. We trust only official information. And remember that any video of military or critical facilities posted on the internet is work for the enemy!” the traitor said.

Information about the defeat of the Russian air base was spread by journalist Andriy Tsaplienko.

“They hit the territory of one of the largest Crimean air bases, the occupying authorities are trying to find and punish those who filmed the video of the strikes,” he wrote.

Some Russian publics also write about the airfield having been hit by drones.

“It looks like several targets were hit in the Crimea at once: 1 - Oil depot in Oktyabrske, Krasnohvardiyske district; 2 - Airfield and used warehouse in Novoivanivka, northwest of Oktyabrske. They say there was a secondary detonation. This is the very center of the Crimea,” added the Russian opposition blogger “To Be Or”.

“In the occupied village of Oktyabrske in the Crimea, apparently, there were hits at an inactive airfield where ammunition was stored. Also, an explosion and fire started at the elevator at the local railway station (although some people talk about the oil depot),” said military expert Yigal Levin.
