AFU Missile Strike Eliminates Russian Colonel With Missile Strike

Storm Shadow was used.

The AFU have liquidated another Russian colonel. Viktor Kovalev was at the occupiers' base in the temporarily captured Yuryevka near Mariupol when rockets were fired.

As Obozrevatel writes, this was reported by Russian z-publics. The occupiers claim that the attack was carried out by British Storm Shadow missiles.

"On 14 August 2023, the AFU air strike with Storm Shadow missiles on the village of Yuryevka, Mangush district of the DPR, killed our dear friend Colonel Kovalev Viktor Anatolyevich. A man of his word, a true officer and a professional. You will always be in our hearts. Your work will continue, victory will be ours! One of the obituaries was optimistic about the Russian army's prospects in Ukraine.

The day before, on 14 August, it was announced that explosions had taken place near the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol, in the village of Yuryevka. Later, the defeat of the occupiers' camp in the captured Volna recreation centre was announced.

The next day details of the defeat emerged: the Russians had many dead, the number of wounded could reach 140 people, some of whom died in hospital before morning.

Russian equipment was also damaged or destroyed, particularly trucks, tankers and armoured infantry vehicles.
