A member of the EU and NATO will receive it.
The United States has approved Israel's permission to sell the David's Sling air defence system at the request of Finland, which would be the first time the weapon has been transferred abroad.
This is reported by The Times of Israel.
Finland announced its desire to purchase the David's Sling system back in April, the day after it joined NATO. However, this step required the approval of the US, with whom Israel had jointly developed the system.
The deal, which is expected to be signed in the coming days, is worth about 316 million euros.
Rafael Advanced Defence Systems' "David's Sling" is capable of intercepting rockets and projectiles up to 300 kilometres away. Israel has been using it since 2017 as a mid-level system within a missile defence complex.
The system's first successful combat launch took place during the Shield and Arrow counter-terrorism operation in May 2023.
