What the owners of the apartment in "Minsk-Mir" found after the short-term tenants left.

The owners of an apartment in the “Minsk-Mir” residential complex, which they had rented out on a daily basis, showed the aftermath of the tenants’ visit. Judging by the video posted online, the apartment was both covered in dirt and flooded with water, and salt and trash were scattered across the floor. People began discussing this unusual scene on social media, reports "Zerkalo".

The video was posted by the account nedvizhka_minsk on Threads with a short caption: “Rented an apartment for a day in ‘Minsk-Mir’… The aftermath on video.”

The footage shows that soil is scattered across the floor, furniture, bedding, plumbing fixtures, and appliances in nearly every room. Additionally, salt is visible scattered in the entryway. Some commenters noticed a shape resembling a pentagram.

What they saw sparked numerous theories about what had happened. Some suggested that some kind of ritual was performed in the apartment, while others believed the place was vandalized on purpose:

“It doesn’t look like just the aftermath of daily life… It looks like it was messed up on purpose, probably even out of spite…”
“It looks like they just did it on purpose to cause trouble.”

“There’s a pentagram drawn and dirt scattered around—it looks like a childish ritual was performed there—we need to call in ghost hunters now—the portal is open.”

“They were summoning Satan there. We need to invite a priest.”
“An exorcism took place.”
Some commenters speculated about the origin of the soil that had covered the apartment:

“Where did that soil come from? This is crazy.”
“Were they replanting seedlings there?”
“It’s all in the ground. Did they rent the apartment to dig up a corpse?”

The author of the post did not specify exactly what the tenants were doing or whether the apartment owners had contacted the police. However, some users advised the property owners to do just that:

“Go ahead and contact the police. You have the booking details, after all; you’re renting it out officially.”
“Call the police—maybe they didn’t pay cash for the pizza or a receipt was left behind; you can figure out who it is and hold them accountable.”

“Did you contact the police? After all, you were renting to real people who can and should be found? Unless you were renting without a contract, in which case, of course, it’s difficult… But in any case, it’s vandalism… It’s nasty, of course.”

The discussion quickly moved beyond the specific case and shifted to the topic of renting out housing in general—some claimed that “it’s always like this when you rent by the day.” However, not everyone agreed with such comments:

“That’s a lie. I’ve rented a hundred times. And I’ve never left it like that.”
“And I’ve rented out hundreds of thousands of times; you can count the neat ones on one hand.”
“That’s just the tip of the iceberg. When I rented out apartments—they’d smash windows, steal plasma TVs, pee on sofas, beat up neighbors, and so on.”
“Because you have to rent with a contract and passport details. And check who you’re renting to”.

“And isn’t the tenant’s liability specified in the contract?”

“You have to rent out officially under a contract so you can hold them accountable later.”
