Competitors of Belaruskali — Nutrien and The Mosaic Company — published quarterly reports in which they estimated the supply of potash fertilizers from Belarus in 2023, myfin.by reports.

Nutrien experts predict that in 2023, the supply of potash fertilizers from Belarus will be reduced by 4-5 million tons compared to the level of 2021. Export of potash from Russia is forecast to decrease by 3-4 million tons.

At the beginning of this year, Canadian Nutrien predicted that potassium exports from Belarus would drop by 40-60% compared to 2021 levels. In May, the company improved its estimate of Belarusian potash exports (expected fall — 25-40%).

The Mosaic Company expects that in 2023 the supply of potash fertilizers from Belarus will decrease by 5-6 million tons compared to the pre-sanction level.

Earlier it was reported that this year Belarus plans to export 8 million tons of potash fertilizers. The problematic point is the fall in world prices for potash. In addition, it is necessary to find ways to reduce the cost of delivering products to consumers.

In 2023, the key sales market for Belarusian potash is the People's Republic of China, which in January-May alone imported potash fertilizers from Belarus in the amount of $800.6 million.
