Military Expert: ‘Goyda’ Happens To Russian Artillery At Front

The Russian military-industrial complex cannot compensate for the losses.

Military-political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko claims that after three months of catastrophic losses in artillery, the Russian military-industrial complex has dropped out of the compensatory capacity.

“The fact is that the capabilities of the Russian military-industrial complex to remove from conservation and restore towed cannon artillery are within 200-300 units per month. Until May 2023, this potential for towed howitzers, especially taking into account peak capabilities, not only fully covered the monthly loss compensation needs, but also exceeded them! After all, the average loss of cannon artillery of the Russian occupying forces for 14 months was 200 barrels. Thanks to such indicators, the Russian military-industrial complex, without much strain, was able not only to compensate for losses every month, but also to increase its potential by +100 barrels from time to time,” he wrote.

The expert said that everything changed in May and for 3 months the average loss of cannon artillery was 640.

“For 3 months, not only the standard volume corresponding to the previous 14 months was destroyed, but this indicator was also exceeded by more than 3 times, thereby leveling the increase in the past period. In this regard, in the artillery troops of the Russian occupying forces, one begins to feel, let's say, a kind of “goyda”. Artillery continues to perform its functions for the time being due to the created reserve, but the reserve is practically exhausted, and the compensatory capabilities of the Russian military-industrial complex will not jump any higher,” he added.
