Natallia Radzina To Those Who Have No Sympathy For Navalny: Be Careful

“I want to say this to those who have no sympathy for Navalny or those who even gloat. Be careful. Don't settle scores with the dead. Maintain the ability to be compassionate even in the most dire situations. Otherwise you cease to be human.

Putin's brutal regime is killing in Ukraine and Russia. With its support, an equally brutal regime of Lukashenka is killing people in Belarus. I was shocked by the murder of Navalny, because in Belarus political prisoners were and continue to be killed in prisons. And I just can’t connect a man who was tortured in prison for three years with the war in Ukraine, even remembering his controversial statements.

In this case, we are talking about the killing of unwanted oppositionists without trial, and not about the political views of the victims. In this case, Navalny is the victim, and an innocent one, and Putin is the murderer.

I am convinced that we can resist evil only if we preserve the human being within us. Otherwise the atrocities will never end.”
