Estonian Prime Minister On Sending Troops To Ukraine: This Is A Signal For Russia
Kaja Kallas

Tallinn does not exclude this option.

Western countries should consider all available options for providing assistance to Ukraine. And the willingness to send troops to Ukraine is a signal for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

This was reported by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on the Politico podcast.

“All countries have understood that we must do everything so that Ukraine wins and Russia loses this war,” she said.

Regarding the idea of French President Emmanuel Macron about the possible sending of troops to Ukraine, the Prime Minister said: “I think that these are also signals that we are sending to Russia, that we are not ruling out anything.”

At the same time, Kallas believes that such decisions should be discussed “behind closed doors.”

According to the Prime Minister, now the partners should focus on other important issues, for example, the purchase of artillery ammunition, including outside Europe.

It is important to note that French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out that NATO could send troops to help Ukraine. The main problem, he said, is that there is currently no consensus on the issue.
