There are several options for the development of events.
The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oleksandr Pavlyuk, confirmed the information that a new large-scale offensive by Russian invaders is possible in the summer of 2024.
He spoke about this during the telethon, writes unian.net.
“Russian plans are completely unknown to us. All we know is that they are creating groups. This is more than 100 thousand. But it doesn't have to be an offensive. Perhaps they will use them to replenish their units that are losing their combat effectiveness. But there is a possibility that by the beginning of summer they may have certain forces to conduct appropriate offensive operations in one of the directions,” Pavlyuk said.
The General also added that the Defense Forces now have a plan to thwart the enemy's plans for the summer offensive campaign. “We will do everything possible to inflict such losses on the enemy that all the resources they form have been committed to the battle by this time,” the commander said.
According to him, the Ukrainian side is preparing for all kinds of developments. “This is the beginning of regroupings and the withdrawal of a number of brigades to restore combat effectiveness. We have begun this process; part of the forces and resources are being withdrawn to the recovery area in order to give people the opportunity to rest, recover, replenish themselves and begin new actions with renewed vigor. We are doing this as planned. Not all the plans we have are successful. But we are gradually moving forward,” he shared.
