Minsk Nurse Sentenced To 2.5 Years Of Probation

Judge Anastasiya Achalava issued the verdict.
On March 4, Zhanna Dudzinskaia was convicted in the court of the Leninsky district of Minsk under Part 1 of Art. 342 ("organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them") of the Criminal Code. Judge Anastasiya Achalava sentenced Zhanna to two years and six months of restriction of freedom without sending her to an open-type correctional institution (probation), human rights activists report.
The woman was accused of participating in the March of Unity on September 6, 2020, in Minsk and entering the roadway. She was identified by photos and videos of another participant in the protest, who unloaded them from the phone to the hard drive. Zhanna fully admitted her guilt.
From January 25 to February 1, 2024, the woman was in custody. Later, before the trial – on bail for 12,000 rubles.
Zhanna Dudzinskaia has a secondary specialized education and works as a nurse in a Hematest private enterprise.
