Journalist Katsiaryna Andreyeva Was Beaten In Colony

The political prisoner was not allowed to call a doctor.

Journalist Katsiaryna Bakhvalava (Andreyeva) was severely beaten in the colony and was not allowed to call a doctor, activist of the European Belarus civil campaign Palina Sharenda-Panasyuk said at a press conference in Vilnius on February 10:

“I heard her asking for a doctor. She said that she was severely beaten: “They hit me on the head, call a doctor, call a doctor…” Of course, no one called a doctor for her. This was on February 9, 2022. On February 10, she was taken to a pretrial detention center in Homel.

I managed to talk to the girl, who said that when Katsya was called and informed that another case had been opened against her (on charges of high treason — edit.), she had a nervous breakdown, a fit of hysterics. What exactly she did there, I don't know, but this girl said that Katsya was beaten. She was beaten by four people: operatives Chorny, Hancharou, Aliokhin and Zyuzin. These four men, “heroes”, attacked Katsya alone. They hit her on the head, they hit her on the stomach.”
