Explosions were heard both in Homel itself and in the vicinity.
On the night of 13 February, explosions were heard in Belarus near the city of Homel, as well as falling burning object was recorded in the sky. This happened against the background of another Russian drone strike in Ukraine.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to local public pages and Telegram-channels.
According to Homel social networks, residents of the central and northeastern part of the city reported about falling debris of an aerial target or targets on the ground.
‘At about 00:32, a flying object was shot down over Homel. The fall coincided in time with a massive Russian air attack of Ukrainian territory. The neighbouring Chernihiv region is under attack, among others,‘ reads the publication of the Flagshtok - Homel Region TG-channel.
In addition, this night, footage was shown on the network, which shows from different locations a large bright object and several smaller ones falling down from the sky and probably burning. It is stated that this is happening in Homel.
It is also noted that explosions are said to have been heard both in Homel itself and in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, Russian media report about alleged ‘fly-ins’ in the villages of Ramanavichy, Novaya Belitsa and in Volatau microdistrict.
The public pages report that Homel residents also heard sounds characteristic of drones, some ‘popping’, which frightened the citizens.

The network suggests that some Russian ‘Shaheds’, which the aggressor country launched today to strike the territory of Ukraine, ‘got lost’ and ended up over Homel. The penetration of Russian kamikaze drones into the airspace of Belarus has happened before.
