Trump called Musk.

The speed limit on Starlink terminals on the front lines in Ukraine has likely been lifted. Ukrainian drone operators are already conducting tests.

This was reported by journalist The Economist Oliver Carroll on social media platform X.

According to him, drone commanders reported that the connection is working differently, and connection tests are still ongoing.

“They’re still conducting tests, but it seems that’s the case,” the journalist noted.

As The Wall Street Journal, U.S. President Donald Trump called SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and asked him to lift restrictions on the military version of the Starlink satellite system in Ukraine.

No official comments have yet been received from SpaceX or Ukrainian authorities regarding the lifting of these restrictions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated the need to restore Starlink’s satellite communication speeds as soon as possible and is awaiting a response from the U.S.

According to him, the U.S. side has promised to provide the necessary information and address the situation in the coming days.

The president emphasized the critical importance of uninterrupted internet access for Ukrainian troops on the front lines and for ensuring the operation of critical infrastructure. Connection speed is a key factor in coordinating operations.

“We are awaiting information from our American partners,” Zelenskyy noted.
